Hervé Paulino

Hervé Paulino is an assistant professor at the Computer Science Department of Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia – Universidade NOVA de Lisboa. He graduated in Computer Science from the University of Porto in 1998 and received is PhD, also in Computer Science, from Universidade NOVA de Lisboa in 2006.

He is an integrated member of the NOVA Laboratory for Computer Science and Informatics (NOVA LINCS) since its inception in 2015, and was also an integrated member of the previous Center for Informatics and Information Technologies (CITI) from 2006 to 2015. His main research interests are on concurrent programming, and parallel and distributed systems. Later work has focussed on GPU programming in general and its use in several application fields, such as machine learning and physics; data-centric concurrent programming, and; edge computing on networks of mobile devices.
